Your first microneedling session at Sinew Center is a chance for us to get to know your skin and establish your baseline. Here's what to expect:

-We will perform your first treatment without numbing cream so we can assess how your skin responds and how well you tolerate the sensation

-Most patients describe the feeling as a light vibration or mild pressure-Your appointment will take approximately 60–90 minutes, including the treatment and post-care instructions

-You will leave with a take-home aftercare package to support your skin's healing process (more details below)

-For future appointments, numbing cream is available by request. We'll send you home with a numbing cream and ask that you apply it to clean skin 30 minutes before arriving. If you misplace your cream, simply arrive 30 minutes early and we'll have you apply it at the clinic before we begin.

Before Your Microneedling Appointment | Pre-Care Instructions:

To get the best results and minimize irritation, please follow these guidelines before your visit:

– 3–5 days before: Avoid retinol, exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs), vitamin C serums, and other active skincare ingredients

– 1 week before: Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanner)

– Day of your appointment: Come with clean skin — no makeup, SPF, or skincare products– Stay hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment

– Avoid blood-thinning medications (such as ibuprofen or aspirin) if possible — check with your doctor first–

Let us know about any medications, skin conditions, or recent procedures at the time of booking

After Your Microneedling Appointment | Post-Care Instructions:

Your skin will be doing important healing work in the 24–72 hours after your treatment. Here's how to support that process:

– Expect redness and mild sensitivity for 24–48 hours — similar to a mild sunburn. This is completely normal.

– Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours after your treatment

– Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinol, exfoliants, vitamin C) for at least 5 days post-treatment

– Stay out of direct sunlight and wear SPF 30+ as soon as you resume outdoor activity

– Do not exercise or sweat heavily for 24–48 hours after your treatment

– Drink plenty of water to support your skin's healing from the inside out

– Use only gentle, fragrance-free products for the first weekYour take-home aftercare package includes a sample of hyaluronic acid to keep your skin hydrated and support the healing process. We'll walk you through exactly how and when to use it before you leave your appointment.

Most patients see noticeable results after 3–6 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. For ongoing maintenance and prevention, one treatment every 3–6 months is typically recommended.

Microneedling is considered a cosmetic treatment and is not covered by insurance. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. We gladly accept HSA and FSA cards, credit cards, and cash.
